Sano Junior High School (Sano Chuugakkou) is the school that Sosuke Yamazaki formerly attends while Rin studies in Australia. As a member of the school's swim club, he encounters Haruka Nanase during a practice meet between the Sano Junior High School Swim Club and the Iwatobi Junior High School Swim Club. When they race and it is obvious that Haruka is not swimming at top capacity, Sosuke grows angry and confronts him.
