Storm of Dive and Dash! (嵐のダイブダッシュ！ Arashi no Daibudasshu!) is the first episode of Season 2 of the Free! anime and the thirteenth episode of the overall series. It aired on July 2, 2014.

Synopsis[]

At the start of a new school year, the Iwatobi High School Swim Club heads to Samezuka Academy for an event to send off the third-year members and wind up racing in a relay against the Samezuka Swimming Club. As the Iwatobi team struggles to recruit new members, Goro Sasabe reveals he has re-opened the Iwatobi Swimming Club as a community resource, now known as ITSC RETURNS. Haruka Nanase and Rin Matsuoka participate in a race and tie for the win without repercussions. Later that evening, Haruka and the others invite Rin to the Iwatobi High School pool, which they have cleaned and filled with cherry blossoms so Rin can swim in it, since that is something he wanted to do when he was younger. Unfortunately, unexpected rain ruins the opportunity. The next day, Rin is surprised to discover that an old acquaintance his, Sosuke Yamazaki, has transferred into his class.
