Kisumi Shigino (鴫野 貴澄 Shigino Kisumi) is one of the supporting characters of the anime series Free! and the second volume of the light novel High☆Speed！. Kisumi attended Junior High with Ikuya Kirishima, Makoto Tachibana, Haruka Nanase, and Asahi Shiina, and is currently attending Hidaka University with the latter two.
Appearance
Kisumi is a tall, young man with unkept, salmon pink hair that dips between his lavender eyes. His usual school uniform consists of black trousers, a white shirt and a red necktie with yellow stripes.
History
Kisumi was a part of the basketball club at Iwatobi Junior High School.

Trivia
- People often make jokes out of his name because it sounds like the English "kiss me."[1][2]
- Haruka doesn't particularly like Kisumi for the reason being that during junior high school, Makoto started hanging out with him too, making him jealous.
- His uncle, Katsumi Shigino, runs a small real estate business where Kisumi often assists.
- Whenever Katsumi came to visit Kisumi, he would say "Kiss me! Catch me!".[3]
- He's kept in touch with Asahi Shiina since Iwatobi Junior High School and they're still good friends.
- Kisumi admitted to Haruka in junior high school that he admires the “natural Asahi” who is free, straightforward and always cheerful while he himself is just trying to look good.
- Young Kisumi's seiyuu, Rina Satoh, also provides the voice for Isuzu Mikoshiba.
- Young Kisumi's voice actor in the English dub, Tia Ballard, also provides the voice for Chigusa Hanamura.
- Due to not being a swimmer like most other main and supporting characters, in place of a motif animal on merchandise Kisumi is represented by an anchor symbol instead.
